Certified Pedorthist
Cambridge & Kitchener

Katya graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2016 with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology where she discovered her interest in human movement and health.  Katya went on to pursue an Orthotic and Prosthetic Technician Diploma from George Brown College. During her time in the program at Sunnybrook hospital, Katya’s interest in the Pedorthic profession was ignited where she had the opportunity to build orthotic devices for patients in need. After completing her diploma, Katya joined Pedorthic Services Canada where she sharpened her skills as an Orthotic Technician fabricating devices and collaborating with clinicians. As her interest in the clinical aspect of the field grew, she decided to pursue her certification in Pedorthics.  After spending 5 years in the industry, she is excited to be a part of the KRA team serving clients in the Waterloo Region.

Katya was the coordinator of many programs while in school and ran the CARL at RIM PARK.  She is highly valued by friends, family and colleagues for her impressive leadership and organizational skills. She has enjoyed competition in basketball, softball, volleyball, and ultimate frisbee and spends time on the golf course and baseball diamond.  Kitchen creations, DIY projects and time with family and friends take high priority in her life.
