COVID-19 Information

Both clinics are OPEN!

Accepting both in-clinic and virtual appointments!

Vaccination Passport NOT required for regulated health professionals.

Your safety and health and that of our GRSM staff is of the utmost importance to us.  To operate our clinic as safely as possible, we have put strict processes in place.  Please see processes for individual clinics below.   If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.

All patients are required to self-screen or will be asked the COVID-19 screening questionnaire when booking and on the DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT.

To request an In-Clinic appointment, please complete form at the bottom of this page.

Our protocols include:

• Daily screening of all staff and patients
• Hand sanitization prior to entering the building
• Thorough sanitization of treatment zones and equipment during and between appointments
• Proper mandatory masks for all staff and patients
• Eye wear for all clinicians
• Reduced amount of patients and staff in the clinic
• Well defined treatment zones in place to ensure physical distancing
• Directed single flow walking paths in the clinic

For the safety of our patients and staff, everyone will be asked the following questions when entering the clinics.

  1. Do you have any of the following symptoms:
    • Fever and/or chills
    • New onset of cough or worsening chronic cough
    • Shortness of breath
    • Decrease or loss of sense of taste or smell

If adult 18 years of age or older:  unexplained fatigue / lethargy / malaise / muscle aches (myalgias)

If child under 18 years of age: nausea / vomiting / diarrhea

  2. Have you tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 10 days, or have you been told you should be isolating?

Questions 3) and 4) are if you are not fully immunized.
    * A fully immunized individual is defined as any individual >14 days after receiving their second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine series or their first dose of a one-dose COVID-19 vaccine series (i.e., J & J).

  3. Did you travel outside of Canada in the past 14 days?

  4. Have you had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 without wearing appropriate PPE?

You understand the COVID-19 virus has a long incubation period during which carriers of the virus may not show symptoms and still be contagious. You also understand that although GRSM has put strict procedures in place to reduce the potential transmission of the COVID-19 virus, there are inherent risks in choosing to enter the clinic.

  • Please maintain a physical distance of 2 meters (6 feet) at all times when possible in the clinic and when entering and exiting the clinic.
  • All patients and staff must wear a mask.  If you don’t have a mask, one will be provided.
  • You will be asked the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 screening questionnaire before you enter the building.
  • Please use the hand sanitizer provided when you enter the building.

Cambridge Process:

  • All patients must wear a mask for any treatment that requires the clinician to be within 6 feet of you. If you have a mask and would prefer to wear your own, please bring it with you. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided. Your clinician will also be wearing a mask.
  • Whenever possible, please come to your appointment in the clothes you will be treated in. This will limit the use of our communal change room/washroom.
  • The washroom will be disinfected regularly throughout the day.
  • Please enter at back door.  Please go to the back door of the clinic and ring the doorbell – a GRSM staff member will be with you shortly.
  • You will be asked the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 screening questionnaire before you enter the building. If you check positive on any questions, we will delay your appointment until you answer negative to this questionnaire.
  • Before your appointment, a GRSM staff member will meet you at the back door. Please do not enter the building unless advised by a GRSM staff member.
  • Unless it is a safety issue, we are asking that you please come alone into the clinic for the scheduled appointment.
  • All patients are to enter the building via the back door and exit through the front door to maintain physical distancing.
  • Please use the hand sanitizer provided when you enter the building.
  • Please follow the arrows indicating the direction of movement throughout the clinic. A GRSM staff member will direct you to your treatment area.
  • The treatment room or area will be properly disinfected before you arrive. Each clinician will have their own large space to work in which will easily accommodate physical distancing.
  • When your appointment is finished, a GRSM staff member will accompany you to the front desk for payment/scheduling of future appointments. You will exit through the front door.
  • Due to the government limitation on the number of people in a facility at one time, assessments and treatments will run on time (all appointments will be either 30 or 60 minutes in length). If you are late for your appointment, we will not be able to extend the length of the appointment to compensate.
  • At this time, we will not have Physiotherapy Assistants working in the physiotherapy area due to government restrictions on the number of people in the clinic at one time. As a result, if you require modalities such as: IFC, ultrasound, taping, exercises, acupuncture, heat/ice etc., it will need to be completed within the treatment session you have booked with your clinician.

Most insurance companies now provide coverage for virtual rehabilitation. We do however encourage everyone to confirm this with their insurance provider.
