Bracing can give extra external support to joints that are early in the rehabilitation phase or those that remain unstable despite early intervention with therapy (e.g., ankle sprains, ACL injuries). You may be able to return to sports or recreational activities sooner and safer with appropriate bracing. GRSM keeps in stock a large range of soft braces (e.g., ankle, knee, elbow, back). Custom ACL and Osteoarthritis (OA) knee braces are sized and fitted on site by our Certified Athletic Therapist or trained brace professionals. The cost of braces may be covered through extended health insurance. You are responsible for payment at time of purchase.
Grand River Sports Medicine Centre (GRSM) offers a numbers of bracing options for your injury needs. All braces are fit by trained staff to ensure the proper brace for your injury as well as instructions for fit, wear and care.
Retail bracing is available at our Cambridge and Kitchener-South locations. We recommend booking an appointment with our bracing staff. There is no charge for the appointment. We stock many of the common braces and can special order any brace that is available from our suppliers (see list below).
