Cara Kasdorf, RD, BSc, M.A.N., Registered Dietitian, Sports Nutritionist

As a Registered Dietitian, Cara provides nutrition counseling for active individuals looking to enhance and maximize their performance through proper nutrition. Originally from Winnipeg, Cara graduated from the University of Manitoba (BSc, Human Nutritional Sciences, 2005) and went on to complete a combined dietetic internship and Master of Applied Nutrition degree at the University of Guelph (2006). Cara has provided individual nutrition counseling for a wide range of athletes, from competitive to recreational, including running, triathlons, boxing, diving, wrestling, hockey and football. Cara is a provider for the Canadian Sports Centre and also provides group presentations for sports teams and running clubs within the community.

In addition to her work at GRSM, Cara also has experience working in primary health care. Cara is a Certified Diabetes Educator, and has much experience working with other chronic diseases including high cholesterol and high blood pressure. Cara is commited to educating people about optimal nutrition and helping people live a healthy active life, while learning how to properly fuel their body. Cara promotes and inspires a balanced approach to eating for energy and active living. When she isn’t working, Cara enjoys spending time outdoors running, biking and hiking. She also enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
