Sports Medicine PhysicianDr. Trevor L. Hall, MD, CCFP, Dip. Sport Med. (Cambridge and Kitchener) Dr. Hall specializes in sports medicine. He presently works at Grand River Sports Medicine Centre, and is a sports medicine consultant for the Centre for Family Medicine in Kitchener. Academically, he is an assistant clinical professor with the DeGroote School of Medicine (McMaster University) and is a guest lecturer for the Kinesiology Dept. at the University of Waterloo . Dr. Hall also serves as the sports medicine consultant for the Wilfrid Laurier University Varsity Football team. Dr. Hall completed his medical school training and family medicine residency at the University of Toronto. He completed the Toronto Primary Care Sport Medicine Fellowship Program in 1997, and obtained the Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine Diploma in Sport Medicine certification in 1998. Dr. Hall’s sports medicine training includes experience with professional groups such as the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors and the National Ballet Company. Dr. Hall’s work experience includes medical coverage at international events with various Canadian national teams. He has travelled to events in such far-away places as Japan, Brazil and Argentina. Most recently he was selected to be part of the medical staff for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. He was appointed as team physician for the Canadian triathlon team for the 2004 World Triathlon Championships in Madeira, Portugal. Dr. Hall was selected as a physician for the Canadian medical staff at the 2003 Pan American Games in the Dominican Republic. In addition, Dr. Hall was chosen as the Chief Medical Officer for the 2005 World Jr. Figure Skating Championships in Kitchener, and a physician for the 2005 World Cycling Championships in Hamilton. On a personal note, Dr. Hall competes in the occasional duathlon and 10K race. He mountain bikes recreationally, and he has completed road cycling tours of places such as New Zealand, Barbados, Prince Edward Island and California. |
